SEALED BID NOTICE

Sealed bid proposals endorsed "Proposal for Construction of New Driver Training Facility", addressed to the Nixa Fire Protection District, 301 S. Nicholas Road, Nixa, Missouri 65714, will be received by the District until 11:00 a.m., Prevailing Local Time, on Wednesday, March 4th, 2020 at Fire Station No. 2, 301 S. Nicholas Road, in Nixa, Missouri and at that time will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work includes the following: Construction of a 40,040 sf, 6” thick concrete slab on grade, along with a 1,560 sf, 6” thick concrete access drive from Fire Station No. 1, site grading and detention construction, and any incidental work in accordance with the plans and specifications.

Wage rates paid on construction work for this project shall be at least equal to the prevailing wage rates as specified in the contract documents and specifications. State wage rates are applicable.

Plans and specifications may be obtained at the offices of Anderson Engineering, 3213 South West Bypass, Springfield, Missouri, upon payment of a nonrefundable deposit of $35.00 for each set. Additional shipping and handling expenses are applicable and the responsibility of the bidder. Checks for plans, specifications and shipping are to be made payable to Anderson Engineering, Inc.

Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects shall provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

The Nixa Fire Protection District covers an area of approximately 53 square miles. District boundaries start to the north at the Christian / Greene County line, west along the James River to the fork where the James meets the Finley River, north on the Finley River, east approximately halfway between Nixa and Ozark, then north to the county line.
