LIEUTENANT POSITION

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

  1. Candidates must be at least 18 years old
  2. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  3. Candidates must have a Valid Missouri Driver’s License with no suspensions, revocations, or any other significant moving violations within the last five (5) years.
  4. Candidates must pass a Driver's License Check
  5. External candidates shall have no less than four (4) years of fire service experience with a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Company Officer or equivalent with a career department.
  6. IFSAC or Missouri DFS FF I & II Certifications
  7. Missouri EMT-B or EMT-P license and provide a copy
  8. PALS and ACLS Certification and provide a copy PALS and ACLS Certifications
  9. Fire Officer I Certification and provide a copy
  10. NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800
  11. Completed and Signed Nixa Fire District Employment Application 
  12. Resume (required supporting documentation) and Letters of Recommendation (optional)
  13. Formal Education Diplomas
  14. Vision sufficient to operate hand and power tools; and conduct patient evaluations; read video monitors, gauges, maps, SOPs, rules regulations, and training documents
  15. Candidates must pass Drug Screen
  16. Candidates must pass a Background Check (due to the nature of public safety as a Lieutenant)
  17. Candidates must pass Pre-Employment Physical
