FIREFIGHTER POSTION
TESTING REQUIREMENTS
Must pass Tri-State Alliance testing process and be current on qualification list
REQUIREMENTS (candidates MUST submit supporting documents)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vision sufficient to operate hand and power tools; and conduct patient evaluations; read video monitors, gauges, maps, SOPs, rules regulations, and training documents
- Valid Missouri driver’s license with no suspensions, revocations, or any other significant moving violations within the last three (3) years. Candidates must pass a Driver's License Check
- IFSAC or Missouri DFS FF I & II Certifications
- Missouri EMT-B or EMT-P license; please include PALS and ACLS Certifications
- Completed and signed Nixa Fire District Application for Employment
- Resume and letters of recommendation (optional)
- Formal education diplomas
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must pass Background Check; due to the nature of public safety as a Firefighter
